A handful of Hollywood’s A-listers were pictured all black and blue, that includes Kim Kardashian, Kendall Jenner, Miley Cyrus, Emma Watson, Madonna and Angelina Jolie. Italian artist and activist aleXsandro Palombo photoshopped these huge celebs for the “No Woman is Immune from Domestic Violence” campaign.
This project aims to stop domestic abuse or at least raise awareness and break the silence around the issue, that everyone can be a victim even celebrities that live a glamorous life.
According to Daily Mail, Palombo says “Domestic violence is a social cancer that knows no boundaries nor social status, it can affect anyone, whether you’re an ordinary person or a celebrity.“
“To defeat him you need to use the antidote of culture by educating and raising awareness on Respect and Equality. Each of us has do their part to help increase awareness and to change things by any means.“
aleXsandro Palombo is a contemporary artist that uses his satirical Neo Pop Art to raise awareness about social issues. Amongst his most famous works are “Disney Princesses as Breast Cancer Survivors” to educate people, even the youngsters about this life-threatening illness, and “The Simpsons Go To Auschwitz” for the 70th anniversary of death camp liberation.
Incorporating ugly reality to pop icons? What a clever way to make the people, of all ages, in-the-know of these social matters! This guy is a genius.
