There’s Gonna be a ‘The Notebook’ TV Series!

Yes you read that right! It’s been 11 years since it hit the big screen. This idea is borderline genius and horrible. We’re already crying!

The CW, the network that gave us Gossip Girl, The Vampire Diaries, Jane the Virgin and Reign is turning the 1996 Nicholas Sparks novel into a weekly TV Series!

According to the show’s official logline, “This series will follow Noah and Allie, memorably played by Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams in the movie, as their love grows and they set out to begin a life together against the backdrop of the racial politics, economic inequities, and social mores of post-World War II of the late 1940s in North Carolina.”

It’s the second period drama of CW next to Reign and most probably, they will omit those tear-jerking nursing home scenes of the older Noah and Allie. This project is a Nicholas Sparks Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television. Nicholas Sparks will serve as an executive producer on this project.

There are no words yet about the casts or involvement of Rachel McAdams and Ryan Gosling on the show but we’re keeping our hopes up that this will be amazing just like the book and the movie.
